prelude to more fun...

Spend the whole day looking for jobs today... went to about 8 recruitment agencies to fill up forms.. everything looks good when asked about my age, education status and experience until the qn was being asked" how long can you work for?" I replied" from beginning Jan to late feb" and they all said" if there's anything we'll give u a call because we are looking for ppl to start work immediately and can commit till at least the end of march". Okie then... Haha... not too gian for a job now...

papa's concert was yesterday... I only enjoyed his performance, which only lasted about 15 mins... sat for a gruelling 3 hours with my mum, sis, aunt and uncles which my dad all invited... though I am a hakka, I still couldnt understand the hakka songs they were singing... However, I AM PROUD TO BE A HAKKA! I love my dialect... I love "suan pan zi", I love the hakka mountain songs so-called...

grandma came on sat... hee hee.. missed her very much... hope everything goes well back home now.. promised myself to spend more time with my family... I am so happy that things are getting better... hopefully there'll be more improvements...

Met up with Mag! haha... watched Harry Potter... finally.. someone to watch harry potter with... I wonder WHERE ALL MY OTHER FRIENDS ARE... doesnt matter... I really enjoyed myself with Mag... finally.. someone who can understand what I say when I just say things halfway.. haha...

Looking forward to korea and thailand next week with my family! hee hee.. gonna go skiing, shopping, and sit for exhilarating rides in theme parks... after that will be genting with the e3 dogs from the 16th to the 18th of dec! hee hee.. Just told my sis that by the time I got back from genting, I would have sat the roller coaster at least 3 times! hee hee.. doesnt matter, cos I am having fun & I love the company that I have for the trip!

I'm finally back in spore!

After a week of packing of things, moving to my new place, cleaning my new place and unpacking in my new house, I'm finally back on the plane to spore with su yen...

Beach was amazing... went with Lyn and got sun burnt... after which came a few gruelling days of cleaning packing, moving box by box of remaining things to my new place, cleaning my new place... I just remembered I cleaned the cobwebs on that particular spot on sat and a new cobweb was formed on sun.. I think I cleared at least 10 cobwebs on different parts of my old house... finally handed in my keys and had my carpet cleaned on the 21st... was unpacking all the things, sorted out all our stuffs in the living room and kitchen with Jasmine... haha.. of cos thanks to the help of Johnathan, Jeremy and Michael, who were staying at our place for the moment... woah.. these guys were playing warcraft and PS 2 the whole day whilst looking and settling for a place for themselves... All of us went for dinner with Jeremy's mum on mon... was just amazed hearing her talk about Evangelism in Dubai, where Jeremy's dad work is based.. Watched Aussie idol on the night and Kate won... I was hoping for Emily to win though, but its okie... I hope Emily's album will be a hit when its comes out...

Had an interesting encounter on the way back to spore... Our flight was supposed to be at 3 30 but the plane was only open for boarding at 3 25 becos it came in late as ppl came in late from the previous flight... Before takeoff, the pilot told us that there was some minor glitch with one of the doors as it cannot really be shut.. It finally took off at 4 15.. on the way, the pilot then informed us that the reading lights were not working... When we landed, the pilot informed us again that there was something wrong with the power and the engines of the plane had to run the lights in the plane.. then after a few mins, the lights on the plane was shut off for a few mins before being turned on again... I think the pilot talked to us throughout the ride for half an hour.. I have never heard a pilot talk so much on the ride... yen and i took silly photos on the way back out of boredom... haha.. finally got out of the airport at 11 and then went to eat beef hor fun in Geylang with my family...

I took a peep outside the window of my planes during sunset... the sun was just right in front of me and the shape of the clouds below seem to remind me of the waves on the beach... It was simply amazing...

I love to be back.. home sweet home... Had fun esp bullying my sis.. haha... Nicole is back to dsturb prawnie...

pack, move, clean

Had my last paper together... I broke my own record... No sleep for 2 nights... woo haa...hmm.. actually slept for 2 hours... was pretty awake after the exams...

Slept for a while in the afternoon before starting to pack my things... many things to pack... gonna ship all my furniture off to my new place tomorrow... getting the keys to my new place tom as well... hee... wow... one year has passed so quickly... I had moved places each year since I came here... foundation yr in my homestay in winthrop, 1st yr of uni in trinity, 2nd yr in cooper st, now at stirling highway... Let's hope this will be the last time I move house...

Lots to do... clean my whole house, carpet cleaning, packing my stuff and unpacking and cleaning my new house... all the way till the 22nd of nov when I go back...

Insomniac

Just finished my double paper... I dont know if I am able to pass... Let's see how it goes... I just hope I can get through CA...

Couldnt sleep the whole of last night...I intended to catch 8 hours of sleep then wake up at 7 to revise one last time for my morning paper... Went to bed at 12....Although I am super tired(I couldnt really sleep the day before as well.. think i'm too worried about CA to sleep)... brain refuses to stop working... was wide and awake until 2.. then went to watch a show in my com... all the way until 3... tried to go back to sleep...After 5 mins of lying in bed, my phone suddenly sounded... there was a msg... THe 1st thought was: who will msg me at this hour? I have a paper in the morning! Haha.. guess what? Jasmine msged me and told me that she knew I wasnt sleeping and wished me good luck for my 2 hetic papers... Wt??? My 1st thought was that she must be psychic.. She added afterwards that at 12 30 pm later, she will have finished her undergraduate paper... hmph...laid in bed all the way till 5 and studied for my 1st paper.. then lay again till 8 before i woke up and got ready for my exam....

Super tired... struggling to keep awake for my psych paper tom... feel like sleeping but don't have time to sleep... another sleepless night...

getting the light...

Doing the supplementary in my tutorial qns saved my life for accounting... The solutions were confusing but I just followed what I memorised from Rick's order of elimination... Phew... I hope I have covered most of my consolidation bits... Now more of Equity accounting, tax-effect accounting leases and the 1st 3 chaps of my lecture notes.. about IFRS...

Was studying in the library with Jay and Raj today.. was discussing CA with Jay today... when we went for dinner at Broadway, I found out a new fact... there are actually cigarettes with orange, strawberry and other fruity flavours... I only thought that there was only the menthol flavour...

This reminded me of other things as well... a friend and I were talking about exams and then he encouraged me with the phrase "lan lan suck thumb". I was confused as I didnt know what it means... then I saw it on 2 ppl's nick the next day... I went to ask one of them and then I got the ans... It is an army term for "you have no choice but to do it"... haha... I only realised it then... Hmm... No one seem to have used this term until recently... strange.. well at least to me.. hee hee

I was reminded of another thing as well... I just found that Absinth is prohibited for sale in spore... It tastes like listerine.. yuck.. didnt really like the taste of it... I have half a bottle of Absinth thanks to amanda... haha... I shall not say why.. I think i'll give it to Jason to add to his collection of alcohol... This will fill our new house with more alcohol... IN ADDITION to huge soft toys called MJ, NJ and I have no idea what else... thanks to someone... haha.. I think I am really biased towards her now... hee hee... I better not be...Gonna be living in close proximity with her where she can just walk less than 5 steps to my room next year... Just joking gal... hee hee

Someone was reading my blog just now... She told me she was feeling biased after reading my blog... because I left a 'l' out in Michael's name and I forgot to include him in the helper's list... I was so encouraged by patricia just now... She msged me and encouraged me to have confidence in my CA paper... AFter talking to her, I felt more motivated and I told myself that I still have one more day to make CA work. THanks Pat! You are officially in my friends' list!

Ooh.. and I think I forgot to mention Derek... hee hee... how can i forget my brother?

My first post ever... Dedicated to all my friends...

Its 5 52 am in the morning. I know I am supposed to be either sleeping or studying. I have given up on corporate accounting for a while. I was too stressed out because I was afraid to fail. After some thoughts, I have decided to accept this failure. If I cannot make it, I'll try again next semester. What is most important is that I am able to graduate with a double degree. Whatever obstacles I may overcome next semester, I trust in God and believe that he will provide.

I have no idea why I craved to set up this blog. I think I want to acknowledge all my friends who have helped me in one way or another, especially this period. So showhand... I'm gonna introduce all my friends now...

My 2 best friends, Wan'er and Emelia are the people I look for whenever I'm faced with any problems. Till now, I am still amazed by how we are able to communicate so well. They're the ones who understand what I'm saying at all times. The emotional support that they have given me is just perfect, fantastic.

My good friends in Spore; Maggy, Weitian, Jingping, Siqiao, Stephanie, Peiyu, Kaili and Meixian are the ones which I always look for whenever I'm back in Spore for a holiday. I've known some since Pri sch, some since Sec Sch, and some since Jc. I feel really lucky cos I'm able to keep them even after we graduate. They're the ones whom I feel totally comfortable with, share my problems with, and have a great and fun time with. I'm coming back soon, so more hangout sessions ya?

Coming to Perth, esp in uni has probably been the hardest part. Moving out of trinity hasnt been easy at all but no worries. As time passes, many ppl has crossed my path and made a positive difference in my life.

Amanda, Tricia, Gary and Raj. Amanda has been a wonderful housemate this year. I can never fail to share my thoughts with her, and oh yes, I can find good places to hangout and eat both in Spore and Perth. Tricia, Raj and Gary mey not know it, but they have supported me in one way or another, esp the beginning of this year. You guys have made yr 2 sem 1 seem much more enjoyable.

Su yen, Jasmine, Bernice and Lyn are my great girlie friends and we have formed this group called MBGU. Haha, you have to guess it yourself what it means. I love their company, friendship and support. They have been great and my best girlie friends in Perth so far...


To the peeps in trinity: Jason, Johnathan, Sean, Stephanie, Lydia, Angelene, Mandy, Nick, Jeremy, Michae, Tun. They may not know it, but in an indirect way, they have helped and encouraged me through work and other things as well which I cant really remember now...


Lastly, how can I forget Jeremy, Robin, Kenneth and Limin? I have known them in Asian studies in Sem 1 and sem 2 this year and these ppl have been a great bunch of friends! They've been my uni friends which I can talk, joke and crap with. I love Asian studies and I know that even after we are not doing the same units anymore, We'll still continue to hang out! More surprise visits (Robin and his friends), supper hangout and driving escapades(Jeremy), drinking sessions(Kenneth, I hope) and unit takings together(Limin, u better major in psych next yr... haha)

To the above mentioned peeps, thank you so much... I have no idea how to express my gradtitute and the 1st thing I thought of was to set up this blog... Forgive me for my language, the way I structure my blog or anything else if I made any... I am tired and drained from a whole day's work of CA...
