Just a question posed by a depressed kid...

Can you ever imagine if a 9 year old depressive kid were to ask you" Why do we live when we all are going to die anyway?" This thought stuck in my mind after my seminar leader posed this question to us.

I would never have an answer to that. Yeah, why put us through all the suffering when we are all gonna go someday. For the experience of life itself?

What would you say to your kid if he/she asks you that question?

I will buy kids candy floss, and after they finish it, i will say "See, take this candy floss for example. Like life, it has been given to you. Take it and enjoy it while it lasts.

Or I would say that perhaps we would not truly live if our time on earth never ends.

Or, (i would not scare my future kids of by saying this), that we are just part of the evolutionary process- one of us may carry a weapon of mass destruction or change in our genes.
